Actresses Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep were joined on the red carpet by Abigail Breslin and Juliette Lewis last night at the ‘August: Osage County’ premiere held at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live. All the ladies wowed the crowds with gorgeous outfits. Roberts wore a tuxedo jacket and shirt with a short skirt, while Streep went with a classic sophisticated look. Juliette Lewis looked regal in a purple satin gown and Abigail Breslin looked contemporary and funky in a silver striped dress.
Julia Roberts, Abigail Breslin and Juliette Lewis all looked stunning tonight at the premiere of ‘August: Osage County’ during the Toronto International Film Festival at Roy Thomson Hall. Breslin sported blonde locks and a simple floral dress paired with a jean jacket while Roberts and Lewis wore simple red and white dresses, respectively.
Watch out Hollywood, there’s a new starlet in town! 14 year old Abigail Breslin is looking pretty grown up these days….a budding fashionista one might say…. and who appears to like the rocker look.
And for only 14, you wouldn’t believe the number of acting credits to her name. I first recall her in Signs … that was a funny movie, but I recently watched Zombieland and she really held her own in that. I am expecting great things from her!
Here we catch up with Abbie at the Toronto International Film Festival where she is promoting her new flick Janie Jones in which she has the star role as a young girl who has been abandoned by her former-groupie mother.
Abigail Breslin hit up the after party for the Broadway opening of The Miracle Worker at Crimson the other night. The Tony Award winning play by William Gibson is celebrating its 50th Anniversary of its opening, and the revival is starring the adorable Abigail. She’s young, but you can already tell she’s going to have a long career in Hollywood.
Alison Pill, Amanda Peet, Sarah Paulson, Edie Falco, Jennifer Morrison, Kathleen Turner and Matthew Modine were also in attendance and looking fab.
All right, I’ll admit it: I totally used to watch Laguna Beach when it was on MTV. In fact, I’m pretty sure it came on before or after Newlyweds with Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, which I’ll also ‘fess up to watching. However, I have NEVER seen an episode of The Hills, and I don’t ever intend to.
That said, it’s interesting that they’ve pretty much brought everyone over from the Laguna Beach crowd (except for that Jason guy, but he’s in jail right now for being drunk and stupid, so he doesn’t count). It’s especially interesting that Lo Bosworth and Kristin Cavallari are back to being on the same show. Do these girls hate each other, or are they friends? Frenemies, maybe?
Anyway, the girls got together for lunch to film a scene for their show. All that hand waving makes it look like there’s going to be a brawl, but that must not have happened (I’m sure we’d have pictures of it if they did). That’s what the show needs, in my opinion. A good old fashioned chick fight. That’s something I’d definitely tune in to see.
This movie is based off of the book “My Sister’s Keeper” by Jodi Piccoult.
Cameron Diaz works with Abigail Breslin on the set of the new film “My Sister’s Keeper,” based upon the book of the same name by Jodi Piccoult. In the film, due out in 2009, a former attorney returns to the courtroom after her young daughter learns the truth behind her conception, and looks to be emancipated from her parents.
Jodie Foster had a very slight wardrobe malfunction at a photo shoot today with Abigail Breslin for her new film, Nim’s Island. She got everything re-tucked and got back to business quickly, though, from the looks of it! The film, due in US theaters in April and based on the book by Wendy Orr and Kerry Millard, tells the story of a young girl who inhabits an isolated island with her scientist father and communicates with a reclusive author of the novel she’s reading.
Natalie Portman, Dustin Hoffman, Jason Bateman and Abigail and Spencer Breslin attended the premiere of Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium last night in New York City.
In the film, Molly Mahoney (Portman) is the awkward and insecure manager of Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, the strangest, most fantastic, most wonderful toy store in the world. But when Mr. Magorium, the 243 year-old eccentric who owns the store (Hoffman), bequeaths the store to her, a dark and ominous change begins to take over.
The film is due in US theaters on November 16, 2007.
