Lady Gaga was a spectacle on the red carpet last night at Glamour’s 23rd annual Women of the Year Awards. Gaga’s scraggly blonde hair and wild makeup were paired with a more conservative looking white suit. The look was finished off with super-high jeweled heels. Other stars at the event included Barbra Streisand, America Ferrera and Christy Turlington Burns.
Curvaceous actress America Ferrera, her soon-to-be-hubby director Ryan Piers Williams and “That 70’s Show” alumni Wilmer Valderrama made it out to a special screening of the dramatic coming-home film “The Dry Land” last night.
America who has now fully doffed her Ugly Betty image brightened up the Miami Beach Colony Theater in an orange cocktail dress and black belt that showed off her waist.
The trio spoke about their award-winning film during a Q&A and Wilmer was super exited to be premiering one of his movies in his home town. “The Dry Land” was released in cinemas on July 30th.
“Ugly Betty” beauty America Ferrera looked stunning last night in a turquoise ruffle detailed cocktail dress while at the 25th Annual Imagen Awards.
America, who is of Honduran heritage, was joined by her fiance director Ryan Piers Williams at the event which honors positive portrayals of Latinos and Latino cultures in entertainment.
The happy couple, who worked together on Ryan’s film “The Dry Land”, were both nominated for an Imagen Award. America was recognized with a Best Actress nomination for her work in “Our Family Wedding” and Ryan’s “The Dry Land” was up for Best Picture.
Almost every time I see America Ferrara, it has something to do with Ugly Betty and she’s all geeked out. Minus the braces, bad hair, ugly clothes and gross makeup, she’s really super cute. It makes me wonder how she even got the part in the first place — looking at her in these pictures, you’d never guess she’s the same girl as Betty!
How exciting is this? Last night was the big premiere party for Ugly Betty at Cain at The Cove at Atlantis Paradise Resort and Casino. Everyone was there, including Chris Diamantopoulos, America Ferrera, Mark Indelicato and Becki Newton.
Everyone deserves three snaps in a Z formation, because there’s not a poorly dressed person in the room. It looks like all of these people brought their A-Game, and each of them deserves mad props and a shoutout. HOT!
America Ferrera filmed scenes today for ABC’s Ugly Betty, and America has one of the coolest jobs ever. Why? Because they were filming on location at Atlantis Paradise Island Resort and Casino with co-star Becki Newton. The episode will reportedly air in November and revolve around a big Mode photo shoot.
Sounds exciting! I can’t wait to see it on TV!
I’ll tell you who: Jason Biggs! I looooooooove me some Jason Biggs. In fact, my first date was with a guy who looked exactly like him. Sure, he worked at the Bugle Boy in the outlet mall and didn’t have millions of dollars, but whatev. He drove a Ford Escort and took me to exotic places like the mini golf course, Coldstone Creamery and the dollar movie theater. He was dreamy.
Anyway, the real Jason Biggs attended the Hot in Hollywood party last night, along with Katherine Heigl, America Ferrara, Jocelyn O’Keefe and a bunch of other people I’ve never heard of. The party benefited charity, though, so I’m morally obligated to not say anything bad about the people in attendance.
Ugly Betty bought a house! Star of the hit TV show, America Ferrera has purchased this home in Los Feliz and she got it for a discount – maybe because of the purple? The pad was $1,415,000 and it has 3 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms. The property boasts thousands spent on upgrades including the entire building being wired for sound, an elegant powder room (huh?), loft-style office, energy efficient windows and a fiberglass heated pool with a mural painted on the rear wall. The home has million dollar views including the Hollywood Sign. The house was originally priced at $2,199,000.
Teri Hatcher, Carrie Underwood, Patrick Dempsey, Amy Adams and America Ferrara were among the attendees of the world premiere of Disney’s Enchanted last night at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood.
The film is a classic Disney fairytale that collides with modern-day New York City in a story about a fairytale princess (Amy Adams) from the past who is thrust into present-day by an evil queen (Susan Sarandon). Soon after her arrival, Princess Giselle begins to change her views on life and love after meeting a handsome lawyer (Patrick Dempsey).
Enchanted is in US theaters on November 21, 2007.
