Celebrities including Chelsea Handler, Owen Wilson and Sean Combs were among the many flocking to Art Basel 2012 this week. Handler, Wilson and Combs were seen today at an exclusive event at the Miami Beach Convention Center, home to the prestigious art show featuring more than 260 leading galleries from North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa showcasing works by more than 2,000 artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Last night was the premiere of The September Issue, a new documentary about Vogue magazine (the American version). Puff Daddy/P. Diddy/Sean Whothehellcaresanymore was there, as was Renee Zellweger and Anna Wintour. You know this flick had to have to put Vogue in a good light, otherwise Anna would have never shown up. I hear she’s actually very scary in person, so the filmmakers were smart to stay on her good side.
In related news, Sienna Miller also showed up. Don’t ask me about the glasses, because your guess is as good as mine. Love the dress, though!
…Including Diddy! He took to his video blog (or vlog, as the kids are calling it these days) and announced that he was grounding his private jet and flying commercial until gas prices go down. Apparently, two round trip flights from the east coast to the west coast cost $200,000. Um, that’s about how much it costs to fly commercial on Delta if you check a couple extra bags.
And yes, this is a picture of him in his jet-pack. I was under the impression that we were all going to have one by the year 2000, so I’m assuming that mine got lost in the mail somewhere?
Everyone and their mother was out in LA last night, including Shauna Sand, Jeremy Piven, P. Diddy, Dan Akroyd and Paulie Shore. Last night was Tuesday! While you were trying to get to bed early so that you wouldn’t oversleep and be late to work (again), the stars were out partying. Such is the life of a celeb, I suppose.
New York Magazine recently asked P. Diddy what new sport he would like to see in the Olympics that he could get a gold medal in. I know, it’s nice to see that journalistic integrity is still going strong and players in the industry still ask the hard-hitting questions. Anyway, here’s what Diddy had to say:
“Who could have sex the longest. I think that’s an event I can do well in. And probably who could stay up the longest. Just so you know, that’s supposed to be funny. Even though I am serious.”
That image made me hork a little. I read that quote and thought for sure there was a mistake, because that totally sounds like something that Kanye West would say.
Gwyneth Paltrow, Sean “P Diddy” Combs, Vinessa Shaw and director James Gray attended the premiere of Two Lovers at the Cannes Film Festival yesterday.
The film is a Brooklyn-set romantic drama about a bachelor torn between the family friend his parents wish he would marry and his beautiful but volatile new neighbor.
