Tissues at the ready… last night was the final premiere of the much beloved Warner Bros. Harry Potter movies.
A red carpet for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2” was held at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New York last night with Daniel, Emma, Rupert and Tom all on the red carpet for the final farewell.
Emma Watson looked stunning with dramatic make-up and a golden gown don’t you think?
So sad to see the end of this era but I for one am excitedly watching to see what comes next for the now grown-up Hogwarts students. Oh yeah, and of course can’t wait to see the film and the already infamous kiss!
It was a night for Kings, ballerinas and girls with dragon tattoos at last night’s 2011 Orange British Academy Film Awards.
With stunning dresses on the red carpet at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and much deserved honors being handed out inside, including Colin Firth winning Best Actor for a second time in a row for “The King’s Speech” following last year’s “A Single Man” accolade, there was much to celebrate.
“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” was recognized in the Film Not in the English Language category, David Fincher picked up the Best Director BAFTA for “The Social Network”, while an absent Natalie Portman was honored with the Best Actress award for her work in “Black Swan”.
And as expected by many “The King’s Speech” stood out from the crowd with Geoffrey Rush and Helena Bonham Carter winning awards for their supporting roles in the film, while it also scooped up the Outstanding British Film trophy.

Co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint joined a throng of other cast-mates and celebrities at the A-list affair.
I can’t believe we have all watched these three grow up before our very eyes….. I have a feeling Emma is the one to watch now though…. according to reports, she is ready to start taking some risks….. will be very interesting to see what movie role she chooses next!
Fashion house Chanel paid homage last night to artisans and craftspeople who make feathers, pearls and silk flower accessories with a fashion show in London.
Since 2002, In addition to Chanel’s regular set of fashion shows, designer Karl Lagerfeld has held an annual show to put creations on display that are made by artisans and craftspeople whose businesses have been acquired by Chanel in order to ensure their survival and to pass along their techniques and knowledge.
The show took place in an old post office that is currently being converted to an auction house. Included in the 450 attendees who took in a wide variety of dresses, materials and colors were Claudia Schiffer, Lily Allen, Emma Thompson, Emma Watson, Karl Lagerfeld, Natalie Imbruglia and Sean Lennon.
Actress Emma Watson, aka Hermione Granger, and Actress/Model Carol Alt appeared on David Letterman recently. Emma was promoting this week’s release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Carol Alt has released a book titled “The Raw 50” in which she shares her secrets on becoming the healthiest, slimmest and most energetic she’s ever been by converting to a raw-food lifestyle.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is released on Wednesday (like you didn’t already know that) and Harry Potter mania has kicked into full gear. The stars of the film, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry), Emma Watson (Hermione) and Rupert Grint (Ron) got their hands, footprints and wands(!) immortalized in cement at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles today. Thousands were on hand for the spectacle.
The three teenage stars are looking quite grown up as they enter their fifth year at Hogwarts.
