The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken over Tinseltown and everyone who is anyone in Hollywood was out last night to meet the royal couple at the Bafta Brits To Watch event in LA.
There were so many lovely dresses it was like Oscar night! Jennifer Lopez absolutely dazzled in a forest green cutaway dress. Anna Kournkinova was another celeb who opted for green. Jennifer Garner wore a fab royal blue gown and Terri Seymour looked lovely in gold.
The royal couple have been making the rounds in California fresh from their Canadian tour, meeting and greeting and making their way into the hearts of the American public.
Matthew McConaughey goes all out country complete with blue jeans and a Stetson at the premiere of Bernie. Meanwhile hisPartner Camilla Avles looked ravishing in red while Jack Black and Shirley MacLaine got some hug time in.
The movie was part of the 2011 Los Angeles Film Festival.
It was a star-studded event for the premiere of “Kung Fu Panda 2” at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre today in Los Angeles.
Angelina Jolie, wearing a black dress with a high slit, arrived with Brad Pitt and Jack Black had some fun posing with the panda. Lucy Liu also walked the red carpet in a strapless white dress accented in lace.
Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman and Jack Black attend the photocall for “Kung Fu Panda 2” at the 64th Cannes Film Festival. Jack is the human behind the voice of the Panda in the movie while Angelia Jolie is the Tigress.
Jolie said the movie, while having a Kung Fu Panda as the lead character, carries a message of non-violence. “It’s the one that doesn’t want to use violence” that saves the day according to the mom of 6.
Looking cute in her trench coat, leather trousers, boots and fedora Ashlee Simpson appears to be handling single parenthood very well!
Ashlee, who recently announced her plans to separate from son Bronx’s dad Pete Wentz, was all smiles as she took Bronx to the 2nd Annual Milk and Bookies Story Time Celebration in LA yesterday.
And while Ashlee has been caring for Bronx, according to reports there have been discrepancies regarding who will get custody of him, but it seems like Pete and Ashlee only want the best for their son.
Pete has recently said, “I have nothing but love and respect for her….Going through something like this isn’t easy, but we’re friends and the most important thing is putting our son first.”
He sees small people…at least that’s what Jack Black’s shirt said at the rainy Los Angeles premiere of Gulliver’s Travels.
Well we’ll all get a chance to see small people, including Jason Segel and Emily Blunt’s characters in the 3D adventure fantasy movie when it hits cinemas next week!
At Grauman’s Chinese Theatre Emily was looking gorgeous in her blue and tan dress while co-star Jack was up to his goofy hijinks.
All joking aside though Jack has had some pretty clever things to say about his new movie, “We stay true to a lot of the elements of the original story and I think the spirit of the comedy. It’s a very funny book, but it’s got more politics…
…We didn’t delve too much into that. This is more about the fun adventure. It’s also an exploration of people’s need to be respected. It seems like everyone wants to be a big shot in this world we live in now. And there is so much insecurity about being a small potato.”
In quirky denim overalls funnyman Jack Black took some time to hang out with his family at an LA playground yesterday.
Jack looked be having a great time playing at the jungle gym with his youngest son Thomas, 2, carrying a toy truck and sand pail, and later pushing his oldest, Samuel, 4, on the swing.
Nice to see Jack, who can be seen this Christmas in the 3-D adventure comedy “Gulliver’s Travels”, spending time with his little ones!
The premiere for Tropic Thunder was last night, which means that I got around 5 gajillion pictures of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (Kate Cruise? Katie Cruise? Katie Holmes-Cruise? Somebody help me out here). She must be wearing uber high heels or Tom must be shrinking, because she’s towering over him in these shots.
Lots of other celebs came out for the evening, including Robert Downey, Jr. and his molestache, Jack Black, Ben Stiller and Matthew McConaughey, sans baby Levi. Lots of people are throwing a fit and boycotting the movie, particularly groups for the disabled. Ben Stiller had this to say in response:
“It’s sort of edgy territory, but we felt that as long as the focus was on the actors who were trying to do something to be taken seriously that’s going too far or wrong, that was where the humor would come from,” Stiller said. “[The joke is on] actors reaching for roles in terms of hopefully winning awards.”
“Some people have taken this as making fun of handicapped people, but we’re really trying to make fun of the actors who use this material as fodder for acclaim,” co-writer Etan Cohen reiterated to MTV. “The last thing you want is for people to think you’re making fun of the victims in this who are having their lives turned into fodder for people to win Oscar.”
The red carpet was ablaze with some of the hottest stars in the world at the premiere of Kung Fu Panda at the Cannes Film Festival last night. Jack Black entertained crowds and Angelina Jolie as he struck kung fu poses and Eva Longoria, Natalie Imbruglia and Phoebe Price showed off their designer dresses. Also at the premiere were co-stars Dustin Hoffman and Lucy Liu.
A very pregnant Angelina Jolie joined co-stars Dustin Hoffman and Jack Black at the photocall for Kung Fu Panda at the Cannes Film Festival today. While posing with Angelina, Dustin and Jack hammed it up for the cameras while pointing out her very large belly. Later, the two individually struck some poses, themselves. Black showed off his kung fu skills and Hoffman showed off his belly indicating he, too, could be pregnant. Ha!
John C. Reilly, Jack Black, Molly Shannon, Ricki Lake and Will Ferrell were among the stars who attended the premere of Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood last night.
In the film, due in US theaters on December 21, singer Dewey Cox (Reilly) overcomes adversity to become a musical legend.
