As engagement rumors swirl, John Mayer arrived last night at LAX after returning from his Hawaiian holiday with Katy Perry. According to reports, while there, Mayer and Perry flew 12 close family and friends to island on a private plane for a special, intimate event announcing their engagement.
A star studded crowd rang in the New Year together last night during the opening of Las Vegas Cosmopolitan Hotel.
Melanie Brown smooched her hubby while others including Kirsten Dunst, Kellan Lutz, Mark Wahlberg and young couple in love Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan arrived for the festivities that saw Coldplay, Jay-Z and John Mayer hit the stage.
Supporting the Sunshine foundation, John Mayer brightens up the morning in New York with a performance on NBC’s “Today” show Toyota Summer Concert Series.
Mayer is currently on his ‘Battle Studies Summer Tour’ and I just read that on Wednesday he surprised fans at Long Island’s Jones Beach in a Ben & Jerry’s truck handing out sweet treats! He’s threatened that’s not the last of his pop up appearances either – so keep your eyes peeled on your local ice-cream truck… you never know!
What do you get when you put Adam Lambert, Taylor Swift, Usher and John Mayer together in one place? The annual Z100 Jingle Ball in NYC! I can’t tell you how psyched I am to see that Adam Lambert is still getting performance gigs after the whole ABC fiasco. That was all blown out of proportion if you ask me (you did, right?).
Everyone looked fab, but I have to admit that I swooned a little when I saw John and Taylor do their duet. Is it possible that John is getting even hotter than he used to be? Ever since I heard the song Comfortable, I’ve been a big fan of the J.M. Getting thrown out of a grocery store while wearing sweat pants? Count me in! That’s a song that really speaks to my soul.
Anyway, if you haven’t heard Taylor and John sing their song, you should check it out on YouTube or whatever. His new album is pretty freaking sweet.
I love Toronto. I’ve never been, but every time I see pictures it looks really nice. Anyway, John Mayer was there last night to perform at the Sound Academy as part of his tour to promote his new album Battle Studies.
Have you heard any of his new songs? They’re really good. Like, Room for Squares good. I bet the album wins him a Grammy.
John Mayer can be kind of a toolbag sometimes, but other times he does more than redeem himself. Take last night, for instance. He played a secret show in LA (at Hotel Cafe), and then signed his guitar and gave it to a fan! If that’s not the definition of sweet, I don’t know what is.
I think John is one of those guys that you want to hate, but can’t. He’s just cute enough to get away with the crap he pulls, but not quite hot enough to get away with anything else. I mean, he’s no Rob Lowe.
But still, I sort of like him. Kind of a lot, acutally. And Room for Squares is my favorite CD to shower and get ready to (and it’s been out for what, 8 years or something?).
The new BlackBerry Storm is coming out, and the brand had a launch party at The Avalon in Hollywood last night. I just got a new BlackBerry Pearl, but I’m thinking I might have to upgrade. That phone looks really, really cool.
Anyhow, a ton of famous people went to the event, including Bai Ling (looking uncharacteristically classy), Juliette Lewis, Macy Gray and John Mayer.
It looks like John forgot something at home when he left to go to the party, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Oh, wait. Yes I can. He forgot his hotness. Must’ve left it on the dining room table or something, because he certainly didn’t bring it with him. Normally, the lust kicks in whenever I see pics of John, but not this time. Such a shame.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that all of the other celebrity weeklies have it wrong when it comes to John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston. In fact, not only are they not getting married or talking about having babies, but they’re totally broken up! A source said:
“John took the decision to end things as he felt he just wasn’t ready for the level of commitment that Jennifer deserved. Contrary to reports, Jen didn’t want to have kids or marry this year, but she did want to set a timetable for their future together. Initially Jennifer was furious when he told her of his decision but now she’s simply sad – not to mention a little heartbroken.“
Jennifer may be heartbroken, but I’m about ready to do cartwheels and back flips through the streets. First Adrian Grenier, now John Mayer? It’s like it’s raining hot Hollywood men! Now, I’m stuck with choosing between the two of them. I’m thinking that the only way to settle things for sure is to have a good, old-fashioned cage match where the two of them fight to the death for my love. Pffft, and they say that chivalry is dead!
Here’s why you should love John Mayer: he’s fighting for your right to get juicy celebrity gossip. A lot of celebs have been complaining about the paparazzi, despite the fact that it is the photos that are taken that keeps them in the news. By staying in the news, they’re noticed in the industry and get more jobs. They should love the paparazzi!
Anyway, Los Angeles city officials had a big meeting earlier to decide what is to be done about the LA paparazzi. Mr Mayer showed up and shared all kinds of good ideas on how to keep everyone safe while still allowing the photographers to get the pics that keep food on the tables of their families (they’re just like you and me you know!!). Now, I don’t normally do this twice in one day, but mad props and a shout out to John Mayer!
John Mayer signed an autograph for a fan yesterday outside the restaurant Dan Tana’s in West Hollywood. The fan seems thrilled! But, was he still a happy camper when he realized that the John Mayer autograph he thought he got on his pick guard reads Eric Roberts instead?
