If Katie Holmes should play the role of Mary Jo in Designing Women, Kate Hudson should play the Rue McClanahan (Blanche) role in any Golden Girls remake. That dress screams “I’m a desperate, middle aged hobag from 1986! Pay attention to me!”
Not that I’m complaining. Blanche was the hottest thing on that show, next to Bea Arthur.
Kiefer Sutherland was also there. The pinstripes are a bit much, but he’s still one of the hottest guys in prime time.
Tomorrow there is so much good stuff on TV, and these pictures just reminded me that the made-for-TV movie 24: Redemption is going to be on as well!
I already have four of my favorite shows (True Blood, Entourage, Dexter and Californication) competing for the same 1.5 hours on different networks, and this week I have to add one more. My TiVo is going to be working overtime.
Kiefer Sutherland was in trouble with the law again yesterday! This time, though, it was on his hit TV show, “24.” Sutherland was seen on the streets of downtown Los Angeles yesterday filming an episode of “24.” The scene had the police chasing, catching and arresting Sutherland’s character, Jack Bauer. The production closed down three city blocks in downtown Los Angeles and featured police cars being driven by stunt drivers.
Kiefer Sutherland checked into the Glendale, California City Jail tonight after a judge gave approval for him to serve his sentence at a facility other than the L.A. County Twin Towers. Kiefer will spend 48 days in jail after pleading guilty to his second DUI. His plan was to turn himself in on his birthday, December 21, and use his show, 24’s, Christmas hiatus to serve his sentence but, because of the writer’s strike causing the show to be on hold, he checked in earlier.
The Glendale City Jail has 96 beds and 48 cells. The cells are double-occupancy 10×8 rooms that feature a toilet, wash basin and water fountain. The day room area features showers. Standard operating procedures dictate that long-term inmates, such as Kiefer, get single cells. Reports are he’ll be treated just like any other inmate and will be on laundry and kitchen duties.
“24” star Kiefer Sutherland has reportedly been sentenced to serve 48 days in jail for drunk driving. The Emmy award winner’s sentence includes spending the Christmas holidays behind bars and falls during a break in his work schedule. He pleaded no contest to the charge and made a deal with prosecutors so that he could serve his sentence after filming completes on the seventh season of the series.
Sutherland was arrested in LA last month while on probation for a 2004 drunk-driving offense.
Kiefer Sutherland has joined the Hollywood DUI club. The Actor who plays counter-terrorism detective Jack Bauer on the hit TV show “24” was pulled over by Hollywood cops after doing an illegal U-turn after leaving an industry party. “He tested over the state’s legal blood alcohol limit of .08 percent,” officer Karen Smith said. “Sutherland was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence and taken to a Hollywood station.” He was booked and released on $25,000 bail.
