The glitz and glamour could be found in every corner of the red carpet area as celebrities arrived for this year’s Oscars ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood tonight. The stars were out and shining bright as they arrived for one of the most anticipated Academy Awards ever.
Angelina Jolie looked as elegant as ever in an Elle Saab gown as she arrived with Brad Pitt. Nominee Sandra Bullock looked gorgeous in a navy Alexander McQueen gown. Olivia Wilde and Elsa Pataky showed off their baby bumps in beautifully designed gowns as they arrived with Chris Hemsworth and Jason Sudeikis, respectively. Other celebrities showing their glamour on the red carpet included Amy Adams, Kristen Bell, Jessica Biel, Cate Blanchett, Bono, Kristin Chenoweth, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson, Jared Leto, Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Meryl Streep, Channing Tatum with Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Kerry Washington and Naomi Watts.
The Palm Springs International Film Festival Award Gala marks the beginning of the 2014 Award Season. Walking on the Cartier sponsored red carpet looking dashing was Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Matthew McConaughey with is lovely wife Camila Alves, Sandra Bullock, ‘U2‘s’ Bono with The Edge, Tom Hanks, Amy Adams, Colin Farrell, Meryl Streep, Ewan McGregor and other celebrities.

Actresses Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep were joined on the red carpet by Abigail Breslin and Juliette Lewis last night at the ‘August: Osage County’ premiere held at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live. All the ladies wowed the crowds with gorgeous outfits. Roberts wore a tuxedo jacket and shirt with a short skirt, while Streep went with a classic sophisticated look. Juliette Lewis looked regal in a purple satin gown and Abigail Breslin looked contemporary and funky in a silver striped dress.
Amy Adams BROUGHT IT to the NYC premiere of Julie & Julia last night at the Ziegfield Theater. I didn’t think it was possible, but she looks even better than she did at the LA premiere!
And this time, everyone showed up to the event. Meryl Streep (of course), Barbara Walters, Rachel Ray, Katie Lee Joel and Jaslene Gonzales, among many others, all came to celebrate the movie.
The premiere of Julie & Julia was last night, and both Meryl Streep and Amy Adams brought their A-game to the red carpet. I’m so happy that Amy’s hair isn’t really all mullet-ey like it is in the movie…it wasn’t a hot look for her.
And Meryl! MERYL! She’s amazing. Stunning. Freaking fabulous. Love her!
It’s raining Amy Adams images lately, I swear!
Earlier today in London (the time change thing always messes me up), Amy Adams, Meryl Streep and John Patrick Shanley attended a photocall for their new movie, Doubt. I love that Meryl is rocking the Sarah Palin glasses, too.
Mamma Mia! had its premiere party last night, complete with stars Amanda Seyfried and Meryl Streep. I read somewhere that the entire movie was leaked on the Internet, but I don’t have the patience to download that kind of stuff, so I’ll probably just see it in the theater. Amanda is also in the HBO show Big Love, which is coming back for its third season next year. Keep your eye on this up and coming actress, I predict big things for her in the future.
Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Will Smith, David Beckham, Meryl Streep, Robert Redford, Peter Berg and Jenna and Brodhi Elfman were among the celebs on the red carpet at the AFI Fest Opening Night Gala Screening of Lions for Lambs at the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood last night.
In the film, two Army rangers sustain injuries behind enemy lines in Afghanistan that set off a sequence of events involving a congressman (Cruise), a journalist (Streep) and a professor (Redford).
Lions for Lambs will be in US theaters on November 9, 2007.
