Canadian singer songwriter Avril Lavigne is all smiles as she stops by The Grove in Los Angeles to film an interview with Extra’s Mario Lopez.
The “Complicated” singer brings her rocker attitude with her, wearing a necklace that says “F*ck,” a word she’s previously mentioned is her favorite in the English language.
Currently, Lavigne has been in the studio working on her next album, but rumors indicate that she’s is one of Simon Cowell‘s choices to replace former “X-Factor” judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.
However, competition is stiff, as rumors also indicate that mega pop star Britney Spears and Toni Braxton are also in the running.
The entire cast of “X-Factor” was on hand to celebrate the finale including judge Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell & Nicole Scherzinger, whom were the judges and mentors for the finalists on the first season of the American version of the “X-Factor.”
Finalists, Chris Rene, Melanie Amaro and Josh Krajcik were also present to help generate more buzz for their results show, which will air on CBS.
The finale will air on CBS at 8pm on the 21st, be sure to tune in and vote for your favorite contestant to ensure that they don’t end up on the cutting room floor.
The X Factor is a show that’s sort of a big deal across the pond, and now Simon Cowell is bringing it to America — with Paula Abdul. On live TV. Ryan Seacrest is going to be so jealous!
Yesterday was the world premiere screening of the show at ArcLight Cinemas, which brought us Paula, Simon and Nicole Scherzinger on the red carpet. Paula gets three snaps of approval in a Z-formation for that tight sparkly dress, which wins her the best dressed award for the evening.
“The X Factor” has finally hit the United States. Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul were reunited at the auditions, which took place at The Galen Center in Los Angeles, after several years together on “American Idol.” This reality competition differs from “Idol” in that it’s open to both solo artists and groups, there’s no upper age limit and the final contestants will be mentored by the judges.
Joining Cowell and Abdul at “The X Factor” auditions were fellow judges Cheryl Cole and music producer L.A. Reid. “Extra’s” Terri Seymour was also spotted at the tryouts looking quite thin.
Perez Hilton’s 32nd birthday was last week, and last night was the official celebration. The theme of the party was “CARN-EVIL”, and the shindig was held at Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
Everyone who is anyone was there, including Lindsay Lohan, Eve, Liza Minnelli, Mel B, Ashley Tisdale, Justin Bieber, Audrina Patridge, Katy Perry, Paula Abdul and Leona Lewis. That’s quite an impressive guest list!
Happy belated birthday from the Mavrix team, Perez!
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon went to the AFI FEST 2009 Screening of Precious last night, which was held at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Precious is the latest Oprah movie, and there’s already a TON of Oscar buzz around it.
Oprah herself attended along with Tyler Perry and Will Smith, Paula Abdul, Mario Lopez and Mary J. Blige. Can’t wait to see it when it hits theaters!
Last night was the Professional Dancer’s Society Fabulous Fall Ball, which honored Nigel Lythgoe with the Dance Visionary Award. Paula Abdul and my favorite reality TV host, Cat Deeley, were also there. Is it just me, or could Paula pass as a 19-year-old in these pictures? She’s been looking uber hot lately…I guess the time off from American Idol is doing her body good!
Paula Abdul took a friend to Koi for dinner last night. By the time that she left, there were a ton of fans waiting outside for her. One of them even gave her a couple of roses, which she promptly put between her teeth. Awesome.
For the rest of the day, I’m going to be tortured by Cold Hearted Snake. I’ve got it stuck in my head (he don’t play by rules, uh-oooh), and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be with me for at least a few hours. I wonder if worker’s comp takes care of that kind of stuff?
While some people were being trampled to death at Wal Mart stores during Black Friday sales, some of us opted out of the whole shopping madness thing. Personally, I slept until noon…after reading about the shooting at Toys R Us and the trampling at Wally World, I’m glad I did.
Paula Abdul decided to go to the movies in LA yesterday, and it’s always weird when I see pictures like these. I kind of assume that celebrities get special movie viewing privileges, where they get advance DVDs to watch from the comfort of their own home theaters. I guess that’s not how it works after all, though.
Paula always looks so freaking cute whenever I see her, I just want to put her in my pocket at take her with me wherever I go. She’s like a little ray of sunshine on a cold and dreary day.
Last night, police found the body of a woman in a parked car outside of Paula Abdul’s Sherman Oaks, California home. She reportedly died from a drug overdose, but that’s not necessarily the scary part.
The police are under the impression that the lady was a crazed Paula Abdul fan and may have been stalking her for quite some time. She reportedly had a vanity license plate that read “ABL LV” (for Abdul Love or Lover) and had pictures of the American Idol judge hanging from her rear view mirror. Police sources told TMZ that they’ve been called out to Paula’s house several times to deal with this woman in the past.
The body was found because the stalker’s mother called the police to report her daughter missing. The mother told the cops that they may be able to find her near Paula’s house somewhere. Fortunately, Paula wasn’t home (she was on the road filming the latest season of Idol).
This is both scary and tragic. Such a shame.
Paula Abdul was busy preparing for the big “American Idol” finale yesterday. We found her at XIV Karat shopping for gifts for the finalists with her little dog in tow. She later stopped in for some dinner with friends at Beso in Los Angeles. She showed off her dog’s “pawdicure” that included freshly painted nails and a unique “Cold Hearted Snake” pendant hanging from her neck.
Paula Abdul caused quite a stir with fans as she left the restaurant Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills last night. The “American Idol” judge recently debuted her first new song in a decade, “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow,” produced by fellow “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson.
“American Idol” judge Paula Abdul, David Cassidy and daughter “Kyle XY” star Katie Cassidy, “Heroes” star Noah Gray-Cabey, “Pushing Daisies” star Swoosie Kurtz, and “Chuck” stars Joshua Gomez and Zachary Levi were among the attendees of the Ninth Annual Family Television Awards dinner last night in Beverly Hills. The event awards excellence in family-friendly television programming.
Even Paula Abdul doesn’t know why her turn-ups are so huge! Maybe the petite star couldn’t find any jeans to fit? Paula stopped by a hair salon in Beverly Hills and when she came out she met up with one of her youngest fans. The cutie also had cuffs on her jeans but they weren’t any match for the American Idol judge’s.
