Dubbed as ‘the most important art show in the United States, a cultural and social highlight for the Americas’, it’s no wonder why all the stars come out for Art Basel Miami Beach!
On day one of the four-day event top model Naomi Campbell took in an exhibit, Lance Armstrong and girlfriend Anna Hansen enjoyed a gallery event, Ben Stiller got a personal tour of one of the gallery floors and Alex Rodriguez hung with pals.
Julian Lennon, who has a photography exhibit of his own at the event also made time to browse his fellow artist’s work…
Brad Pitt may be a great actor and a super hero in his new movie Megamind, but is he as cool as Spider Man?
Well, you will have to ask his kids! It seems Daddy Pitt still has some way to go to beat out Spider Man in the Jolie-Pitt household….
“Spider-Man is big in our family” explained Brad at the NY premiere last night in which he plays the character Metro Man.
“The kids think he’s the coolest. If there was one superhero they would want me to play, that would be the one. I’d score big with them.”
Ha! And who wouldn’t?! Christine Taylor is freaking awesome, and judging by the way Ben is looking down her shirt, I’m guessing her boobs are pretty awesome, too.
The husband and wife duo were at the Los Angeles premiere of Greenberg at the Arclight Hollywood Cinema last night, and Ben couldn’t keep his eyes off of Christine. Kind of sweet, don’t you think?
Ben Stiller was hard at work yesterday filming the latest Focker installment, Little Fockers. I never realized how short he was until I saw these pictures of him standing next to some crew members. I did a substantial amount of Google research, which said that he’s 5’7″. That’s like, Tom Cruise short!
The camera may add 10 pounds, but it also adds several inches!
The premiere for Tropic Thunder was last night, which means that I got around 5 gajillion pictures of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (Kate Cruise? Katie Cruise? Katie Holmes-Cruise? Somebody help me out here). She must be wearing uber high heels or Tom must be shrinking, because she’s towering over him in these shots.
Lots of other celebs came out for the evening, including Robert Downey, Jr. and his molestache, Jack Black, Ben Stiller and Matthew McConaughey, sans baby Levi. Lots of people are throwing a fit and boycotting the movie, particularly groups for the disabled. Ben Stiller had this to say in response:
“It’s sort of edgy territory, but we felt that as long as the focus was on the actors who were trying to do something to be taken seriously that’s going too far or wrong, that was where the humor would come from,” Stiller said. “[The joke is on] actors reaching for roles in terms of hopefully winning awards.”
“Some people have taken this as making fun of handicapped people, but we’re really trying to make fun of the actors who use this material as fodder for acclaim,” co-writer Etan Cohen reiterated to MTV. “The last thing you want is for people to think you’re making fun of the victims in this who are having their lives turned into fodder for people to win Oscar.”
