Hollywood legends Carol Channing, Esther Williams, Florence Henderson and Julie Newmar were among those attending a special ceremony in Hollywood last night to donate historical Hollywood artifacts to the Smithsonian. Carol Channing donated the diamond gown and her Tony Award from Hello Dolly, Esther Williams donated her two MGM career scrapbooks, Florence Henderson donated her two TV Land Awards and Julie Newmar donated the Catwoman outfit from the 1966 TV show “Batman.”

Comedienne Carol Burnett stopped in at Mr. Chow last night for dinner. The legendary Burnett has been in show business for over 50 years and shows no signs of stopping. She’s reported set to begin filming a new film, The Post-Grad

later this month.

Lionel’s Grandaddy Of A Gift



We found soon-to-be grandfather Lionel Richie at Spago with music legend Quincy Jones last night. Reportedly Richie, father of Nicole Richie, has decided upon the perfect gift for his pregnant daughter: a new home. He wants his grandchild to be as secure as possible as when he or she arrives so he’s shopping for the perfect gated community and the reports indicate he’s checking out a $7 million home. Not too shabby!

No More Rush Hour?



We caught funny man Chris Tucker and music legend Quincy Jones outside the Laugh Factory in Hollywood last night.

It’s been reported that after the third film in the series, Rush Hour film star Tucker will move on to do other things. Says Tucker: “For me as a career move, I don�t know if I want to do another one. The fans will have to really, really, really say that ‘3’ was so good that they want to see another one. Because I really want to do something different.”

Earlier this month, Quincy Jones was named one of the 2008 National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters.

Director Francis Ford Coppola with Sofia Coppola, Tim Roth and Alexandra Maria Lara presented Youth Without Youth at the Rome Film Festival.

The film is a love story wrapped in a mystery. Set in Europe before WWII, a timid professor is changed by a cataclysmic event and explores the mysteries of life.

Among the celebs attending the 2007 Spike TV Scream awards were Paris Hilton and Darren Lynn, Kristen Bell, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Ozzy and Jack Osbourne, Slash, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Criss Angel, Alice Cooper and Casper Van Dien.

The Scream Awards, which celebrate people getting the crap scared out of them, are appropriately scheduled to air just before Halloween on October 23. Check your local listings.

Queen Sofia of Spain Attends “El Greco” Premiere



Her Royal Highness Queen Sofia of Spain attended the Athens premiere of the new Greek film El Greco about the freedom fighter and artist, Domenicos Theotokopoulos, known to the world as “El Greco.”

Queen Sofia was born in Athens as Princess of Greece and Denmark. She later married Prince Juan Carlos of Spain, who became King in 1975.

My Life In Ruins Films At The Acropolis

We snapped Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) on the set while filming the new romantic comedy, My Life in Ruins, on the Athens Acropolis with Richard Dreyfuss and Greek actor Alexis Georgoulis.

Due out in 2008, My Life In Ruins is a comedy about an archaeologist tour guide whose life takes a personal detour, while her group gets entangled in comic situations among the ruins with a series of unexpected stops along the way.

Music superstar Elton John and long-time friend Billie Jean King hosted the 15th annual Advanta World Team Tennis Smash Hits, a special night of tennis featuring Andy Roddick, Lindsay Davenport and Anna Kournikova, among others. The event, held at The Pavilion at Villanova University in Philadelphia, benefits the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the local charity ActionAIDS.

Leif Garrett On The Town



Former child star and singer Leif Garrett was all smiles as he left the nightclub Hyde in West Hollywood last night. He must have recovered from the soreness he experienced when appearing on CMT’s “Ty Murray’s Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge” in August. He quit the show after only one episode due to the pain and his lack of desire to continue. Who can blame him?
