The glitz and glamour could be found in every corner of the red carpet area as celebrities arrived for this year’s Oscars ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood tonight. The stars were out and shining bright as they arrived for one of the most anticipated Academy Awards ever.
Angelina Jolie looked as elegant as ever in an Elle Saab gown as she arrived with Brad Pitt. Nominee Sandra Bullock looked gorgeous in a navy Alexander McQueen gown. Olivia Wilde and Elsa Pataky showed off their baby bumps in beautifully designed gowns as they arrived with Chris Hemsworth and Jason Sudeikis, respectively. Other celebrities showing their glamour on the red carpet included Amy Adams, Kristen Bell, Jessica Biel, Cate Blanchett, Bono, Kristin Chenoweth, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Kate Hudson, Jared Leto, Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Meryl Streep, Channing Tatum with Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Kerry Washington and Naomi Watts.
Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith and Will Smith at the “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted” Premiere held at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York.
Doting dad Will can be seen with a protective arm around his daughter Willow and by all accounts that protective arm is going to be there for a looooong! Will recently said during an interview that Willow won’t be allowed to date until she’s 40 years old. Guess he knows all about those Bad Boys!
So, there was a severe lack of cast members in black suits at the Men In Black 3 New York movie premiere.
I guess Will Smith came the close but hey, I guess after months of being filmed wearing nothing but black, it was time to change it up a little for the premiere. Kudos to Pitbull however who did make the effort and the boys from One Direction.
What is, I am sure, another “hold your tummy cause it hurts so much from laughing”, kind of movie, MIB3 promises a few changes to the previous two complete with time travel.
Ok, I guess I also have to admit that now I am officially old as it seems only yesterday that I remember watching the absolutely brilliant original MIB, now I am horrified to find out that it was 15 years ago! The moral of this story is though, a great movie never gets old.
Everyone’s got Bieber Fever!
Some of the biggest names in teen pop came out last night in support of heartthrob Justin Bieber at the premiere of his new documentary “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never”.
At Nokia Theatre L.A. Live Justin was looking smooth in a purple velvet jacket and a black bow tie…while his rumored girlfriend Selena Gomez was a perfect match in a purple mini dress.
“Never Say Never” will hit theaters on February 11th.
The Smith family turned up en-mass to support one of the younger family members last night, 11-year-old Jaden Smith, who is paving his own street to stardom with his latest film role in Karate Kid.
Will Smith and wife actress Jada Pinkett Smith, who was clad in a head-turning gold dress, seem very much in love as they walk the red carpet.
Willow and Jaden Smith, Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s children, got the chance to go to the big premiere of The Perfect Game, which stars Cheech Marin and Clifton Collins Jr., last night at The Grove. Jaden is becoming quite the little star himself — he’s on track to become the next big breakout star, thanks to his talent and good genes.
And little Willow looks just like her mom, doesn’t she? Adorable!
The other night, the people involved in the movie Seven Pounds decided to have a charity premiere in South Miami. I’m not exactly sure how that works, but I can tell you that the money was raised for the Florida Marlins Community Foundation.
While I appreciate that the stars came out for a good cause, I don’t appreciate Will Smith flashing me a peace sign. I don’t care if it’s sideways and kind of slanted (an interesting take on the standard, I’ll give him that much), because it’s still an effin’ peace sign! Just once I’d like to see somebody throwing down a WESSSS-SIIIIIIIDE. It’d seriously make my day if somebody like Miley Cyrus did that, but I’m not holding my breath.
Rosario Dawson was also there (love her!).
Okay, let’s get this out of the way right now: it has been whispered that Charlize and Will were getting jiggy with it while filming Hancock, despite the fact that Will is married to Jada. There have been pictures of them looking a little too cozy on the red carpet at other premieres, but from what I’ve seen everything last night was kosher.
I don’t think that the two of them were actually hooking up, it smells like a publicity stunt if you ask me. What do you think?
Will Smith was out and about in NYC yesterday filming Hancock. I can’t believe film crews these days. First, Julia Roberts’ movie shoot gets put on hold because of paparazzi, and now Will Smith is still filming a flick that I thought for sure was already in the can! What’s next with these people?
I’m actually pretty psyched to see John Hancock. Any story about a drunken superhero who messes stuff up is A-okay with me. It kind of reminds me of my life, but without the superhero part.
According to reports, Will Smith has reportedly decided to start his own school. Will and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith have been home schooling their children Willow and Jaden and now Smith has shelled out around $1 million to lease a campus near his California home that he has named New Village Academy of Calabasas. The academy will be privately run for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.
Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Will Smith, David Beckham, Meryl Streep, Robert Redford, Peter Berg and Jenna and Brodhi Elfman were among the celebs on the red carpet at the AFI Fest Opening Night Gala Screening of Lions for Lambs at the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood last night.
In the film, two Army rangers sustain injuries behind enemy lines in Afghanistan that set off a sequence of events involving a congressman (Cruise), a journalist (Streep) and a professor (Redford).
Lions for Lambs will be in US theaters on November 9, 2007.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes hosted a gathering of Hollywood heavy weights to welcome David and Victoria Beckham to Los Angeles. The invitation-only party was held ad the Museum Of Contemporary Arts, Geffen Contemporary, in downtown Los Angeles.
The celeb guest list included Will and Jada Smith, Brooke Shields, director Ron Howard, Jim Carrey, Jenny McCarthy and newly wed Eva Longoria.
