American sports stars and Hollywood celebs alike came out to Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre L.A. Live for this year’s ESPY (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly) Awards.
Sports Illustrated Magazine swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker showed off her curves in a tight pink Herve Leger bandage dress (a favorite amongst curvy women everywhere) and “Twilight” starlet Ashley Greene, decked out in a red-orange mini dress with tube top, happily waved to photographers as she arrived.
Other stars to make it out to the annual awards show, which highlights the American sports network ESPN, was cool man Samuel L. Jackson, Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron and family man Mark Wahlberg.
This weekend, NBA legend Michael Jordan casually smoked a cigar and tossed around a golf ball as he took part his Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational golf tournament held at the luxurious One and Only Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
The MJCI organization brings in an incredible array of talent from the worlds of sport and entertainment to compete on the course and participate in various events for charity in this annual event. In it’s seventh year the charity has raised over $4 million for several deserving causes. More than $500, 000 will be donated to this year’s charities including the Butch Kersner Summit Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, The James R. Jordan Foundation and forty additional charities nominated by the celebrity participants.
This is the kind of stuff I love to see celebs doing. It’s always refreshing to see people use their fame for good causes, which is exactly what Josh Duhamel (sporting his new wedding ring!), Samuel L. Jackson, President Bill Clinton, Angie Everhart, Aiden Quinn and Michael Jordan did. Good job, guys!
Hey look, it’s Marky Mark! I flippin’ love that guy. He’s hotness personified, with a little bit of ghetto-fied street cred. And if there’s one thing you can never get enough of during the holidays, it’s hard liquor ghetto-fied street cred.
While I was out being a degenerate gambler at a West Virginia casino last night (now that was an experience I’ll never forget), Marky Mark, Andy Garcia, Denzel Washington, Dustin Hoffman and Samuel L. Jackson were out watching the Lakers/Celtics basketball game. Even Sinbad showed up, bringing with him his Santa-like belly and fierce leopord print towel. Don’t ask, because I don’t know either.
Anyway, the Lakers ended up winning the game. You know who else won last night? I DID! I came >thisclose< to getting into a fist fight with a geriatric woman over a 50 cent Wheel of Fortune slot machine, but I came out victorious. Maybe it’s because I threw her quarters bucket across the room, but whatev. A win is still a win, damnit.
I also hit the poker room, which was interesting. I kept expecting the WV natives to raise me a bowl of possum stew or a coon skin hat or something, but they didn’t. Turns out, they play with actual chips that represent actual cash money, not roadkill or gold teeth. Who’d have thought?
Scarlett Johansson was at the premiere of The Spirit last night in Hollywood, along with Eva Mendes, Paz Vega, Samuel L. Jackson and Gabriel Macht. Grauman’s Chinese Theater must be booked every night, because I swear I get pictures of these premieres every single morning. It’s nice to know that even in this economy, people employed as red carpet roller-outers will still have jobs.
Speaking of jobs, mine is pretty sweet today. It’s Hot Guys in Suits Day at my favorite coffee shop, and when I’m not drooling over the hottie with the curly dark hair, expensive tie and blue eyes (yeah, I’m talking to you), I’m looking at Scarlett’s gorgeous dress. And she looks so happy, too! Must be the new marriage?
Celebs attended Swarovski Fashion Rocks at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Attendees included: Uma Thurman, Victoria Silvstedt, Lily Allen, Alicia Keys, Giorgio Armani, Kate Moss, Beth Dito, Claudia Schiffer, Samuel L. Jackson and Pete Burns.
The fashionable pairing of Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman hosted the event which included an incredible line-up featuring some of the world’s best designers and top music artists.
